edge mobile hairA big part of providing a great service to my clients is to make sure I’m up to the minute with my styling and techniques. Matrix – a product I’ve always used and get great results with – hosted a roadshow, showcasing fashion-based cuts, colour and styles for this year.
It was an amazing experience and I’ll be using a lot of what I’ve learnt. Make sure you don’t miss out!
How would you like this for your next cut?
Only joking – this was my entry for the Fantasy Avant Garde section of the show. Mel is modeling my “sci-fi” style. This tooks ages to get right, involving body paint, silver spray a neat little costume as well as a style that took an awful lot of thought to sort out!
I took Mel’s natural dark hair and wove in silver extensions to create a basket weave look at the sides. The globe on top was constructed using real hair extensions around a frame to add drama to the “outer space” theme. I plaited synthetic hair into the back of Mel’s hair, creating a mist/cloudy effect.
For my first showing at a national competition like this, it was great to be in the top 20 out of 75 entries. Out of this world!
